WatchCat monitors urls. It has a daily look at the web and checks if there are any updates in the monitored urls. If so it sends an email to all associated users notifying them about the update of the url.

This might sound odd in times of daily changing websites but there are still many small websites on the web which do not change in days or even weeks. With WatchCat you can have an constant eye on these websites without surfing there every day. As soon as WatchCat finds an update among your urls you'll find an email in your inbox. Just that easy.

WatchCat was once a lab work for a multimedia course at BTU Cottbus. Formerly programmed in java WatchCat was converted to perl to satisfy user requests and become more flexible for future use.
